D-Jukes ready for HoopsAid

HoopsAid is set to take place on September 15th with various celebrities, Olympic, Paralympic and Battle-back stars set to join in the fun.

The Olympic Copper Box is set to host what should be a thoroughly enjoyable basketball occasion and one of the names involved is D-Jukes.

If you've not heard of D-Jukes, then you should have! He has been played in BBC Radio 1Xtra and you can have a listen to his song by clicking the play button next to it on THIS Charlie Sloth page.

D-Jukes is involved in both playing and performing at HoopsAid 2013 and has been involved in the official anthem 'Dreams' - alongside Sophia May and EckSell.

Speaking ahead of the event D-Jukes says he is glad he has the opportunity to give back to charity at HoopsAid.

He said: "At the event I will be performing and also playing, I've got my new song 'Good Times' which I will be singing at the event."

"It was a very easy decision to take part in HoopsAid as it's giving back and do something for people in need."

"It's very important [for people in the public eye] to use their following so people can help the cause and to get our fans to support it."

D-Jukes is working on a US|UK Radio Mixtape with the likes of Wretch 32 and Sophia May as his career goes from strength-to-strength.

He is not looking forward to seeing anyone in particular at the event but he is glad so many high profile people are involved.

He continued: "I'm happy to see everyone that is taking part as they are doing something for such a good cause."

"We will be playing against some pros, so it won't be that easy, but I'm looking forward to being involved."

"I've got a new Mixtape coming out as well as a new album called New York City Trafficking."

The history making British sportswomen...that no one is talking about.

This summer has so far been an incredible one for women’s football, with huge audiences for England women’s fixtures as the lionesses roared to the semi-finals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Coverage of the finals has been unprecedented, with back page stories in British newspapers across the tournament and a record peak of 7.6  million people watching England destroy Norway 3-0 in the quarter-finals live on BBC One. One tournament that hasn’t even made it onto the red button this summer is the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019. In fact, I imagine when you have read your newspaper of choice this morning, there may have been just a short Twitter-length article on GB Basketball creating history by reaching the quarter-finals of Women’s EuroBasket for the first time. No one is talking about how Temi Fagbenle managed a 29-point haul in a comprehensive 92-71 win against Montenegro. Nothing about the quarter-final tie against Hungary later this week. No real mention of poten
